Positive Lifestyle Changes

I've been thinking about lifestyle changes a lot lately. My belief is you can affect "major" change without changing your lifestyle. Doing just one this won't do the job - you have to do more than one thing. Here are some of the things I want to focus on next.

Exactly four month ago I broke my ankle. This has given me a lot of time to think about lifestyle changes. It's not really only the ankle break, it's also I'm getting older and I feel that if I can't make myself used to change I'll get stuck in my ways. And being stuck is not ideal, because I still have a lot I want to achieve and I'm not quite there yet.

My current philosophy around self-improvement is about making changes. I've tried many different way and the one that seems to stick is the one where you make a few changes at once. To me, that's where I'm at now. Ready to make quite a few changes at once.

Here are some ideas:

  • Finding a gorgeous new 1 bed apartment in Cape Town

  • Going to the gym on a regular basis. I have to do this anyway for the period while I am doing ankle rehab, so I want to maximize this experience.

  • Eating more healthily more regularly.

  • Buy really nice and smart clothes to suite my attire.

  • Reading less news. Last week I had a fit when I heard South Africa is participating in Russian war games. Of course I read this in the news and it upset me so much. So much so that I even sent our president a private Twitter message informing him about my disgust. I still feel exactly the same way but what I didn't like is that feeling of being upset from something I read that I probably can't change. The point here being there are better things to read than the news. I really want to figure out how to divert my love for reading to more productive places
